World Wide Birds Magazine November 2021 is available to download from our download page
I am very privileged and happy to be able to bring you another magazine edition.
In this edition, the Eclectus parrots are featured as our main article. It is also by chance that I found that they are also listed as Cites II when I prepared the Cites birds’ pages. Eclectus parrots are enjoyed for their beauty, talking ability, intelligence, and interest in interacting with humans. If given the dedication they deserve in feeding and housing, they give great pleasure to anyone keeping them.
How do parrots perceive death – their own, their owners’, and that of others in their life? Dorothy Schwarz gave us permission to publish this very interesting article as well as an article on how parrots benefit from the sunshine and the great outdoors. Thank you very much Dorothy for sharing your knowledge so that our birds can be better understood and prosper at the same time.
An Instagram follower asked me what plants he can use in his finch aviary. The article on Australian plants for use in finch aviaries should cover his question. For all other countries, I would highly recommend that you go to your local nursery to see if any of these plants are available. If you find any, please let me know so that we can tell the other readers as well.
