After seeing most parrots in the wild, I found that the fruits they consume are never sweet like the cultivated types, which are packets of sugar with flavor. When feeding fruit to parrots, use it as a treat and avoid the sweet varieties. Focus instead on nutritious and beta-carotene-rich vegetables like yellow sweet potatoes and carrots.
